Deadlock Pro

Deadlock crosshair settings

Deadlock lets you change the crosshair in its own settings, and the developer console goes further than the sliders. Both are built into the game, so no game files change. The settings and commands below follow PC Gamer and PCGamesN.

Change it in settings

Open Settings during a match or in the Sandbox, so you can see the result, and find the reticle settings. The sliders cover:

  • Gap, width and height of the pips, the lines around the centre dot.
  • Pip opacity, and whether the pips have a black outline.
  • Dot opacity and dot outline opacity.
  • Colour as red, green and blue values from 0 to 255. All three at 255 is white; red 0, green 255, blue 255 gives cyan.

Go further with the console

Press F7 in a match to open the console. If nothing happens, turn on the developer console option in the game settings first (dldb). The console accepts values outside the slider ranges, such as a negative pip gap for a joined cross.

  • citadel_crosshair_pip_gap: distance from the dot to the pips.
  • citadel_crosshair_pip_width and citadel_crosshair_pip_height: pip size.
  • citadel_crosshair_pip_opacity and citadel_crosshair_pip_border: pip opacity and outline (true or false).
  • citadel_crosshair_dot_opacity and citadel_crosshair_dot_outline_opacity: the centre dot.
  • citadel_crosshair_color_r, citadel_crosshair_color_g, citadel_crosshair_color_b: colour, 0 to 255 each.
  • citadel_hit_marker_duration: how long hit markers stay on screen.

A crosshair code to start from

PCGamesN's cyan cross, pasted into the console as one line:

citadel_crosshair_color_r 0; citadel_crosshair_color_g 255; citadel_crosshair_color_b 255; citadel_crosshair_pip_border false; citadel_crosshair_pip_opacity 1; citadel_crosshair_pip_width 4; citadel_crosshair_pip_height 10; citadel_crosshair_pip_gap -3; citadel_crosshair_dot_opacity 0; citadel_crosshair_dot_outline_opacity 0

Tune it in the Sandbox, then check it in a real fight: a crosshair that looks clean on a wall can get lost in ability effects.

FAQ

How do I change my crosshair in Deadlock?
Open Settings and use the reticle sliders for pip gap, size, opacity, dot and colour. The F7 console has the same options without slider limits.
How do I open the console in Deadlock?
Press F7 in a match. If it doesn't open, enable the developer console option in the game settings.
Can I make a dot crosshair in Deadlock?
Yes: set citadel_crosshair_pip_opacity 0 to hide the pips and keep the dot.
Can I get banned for crosshair commands?
These are the game's own settings, so they aren't mods. Crosshair overlays and edited game files are a different matter; we don't cover them.
