North American team Melee Creeps have won their fifth tournament in a row. On October 21 they took Night Shift NA #61, after the three previous editions and Roster Royale. According to Liquipedia, they have not dropped a single map in those three weeks.

Night Shift is a weekly event with $1,000 for the winner, and its format favors the champion: last week's winner goes straight into a best-of-three final against whoever came through the challenger match. Roster Royale was the harder test: 16 teams, single elimination, every series best-of-three. Melee Creeps won all four of theirs 2-0 and took the $1,000 first prize from organizer Deadlocker.

The tally: 8 series, 16-0 in maps and $5,050 in prize money. The four Night Shift finals had four different MVPs: AVG, Zeno, Lomein and JonJon. Their #61 lineup was Saiah, JonJon, Average, Lomein, League and Zeno, coached by POSHYPOP.

It is not their longest run. In January and February 2026, Melee Creeps won six straight Night Shift NA editions, #20 to #25. Their last loss before this streak came on September 23, a 0-2 to Poppers' Pupils in the #57 final.

What they pick

In the 15 maps of the streak with a draft on Liquipedia, Melee Creeps picked Paige most (11 times), then Apollo and Yamato (8 each). Paige is strong in public games too: after the Deadlock patch October 14 she wins 55.8% and sits third on our Deadlock tier list. For what the wider pro scene bans and picks, see Deadlock pro bans. The rest of the roster is on the Deadlock characters page.

Meanwhile in Europe

Europe has its own streak: Buff Enjoyers won Night Shift EU #59, #60 and #61, beating Leviathan in every final (2-0, 2-1, 2-1). Buff Enjoyers and Leviathan meet again at 1win tourney deadlock 03 from October 27. Melee Creeps will not be there: that event is for teams from Europe and the CIS.
