Nurse Harrow is the sixth and final hero of the City Never Sleeps update. Valve released her on October 20 at 2pm PDT. Like the five heroes before her (Rat King, Baba, Solomon, Deadman Danny and Violet), she was picked by community vote. You can find all of them on our Deadlock characters page.

Nurse Harrow's abilities

Valve describes a hero who keeps her team in the fight while wearing enemies down.

  • Leech Therapy: a jar of leeches latches onto enemies, drains their health and energy, then crawls back to her.
  • Wretched Vapors: a vial that possesses an ally with a strong boost, with side effects once it wears off.
  • Healing Needles: a syringe that injects medicine straight into teammates.
  • Lurking Terrors: her ultimate releases everything trapped in her bag and sends enemies running for cover.

The voting, by the numbers

Valve shared the final City Never Sleeps stats:

  • more than 110 million votes were cast;
  • the closest round was Baba vs Solomon, decided by about 0.5%;
  • only 847 players voted in every round and always picked the winner, while 36,236 voted in every round and never did;
  • 22,194 players voted only for Nurse Harrow, and one of them cast exactly 1,000 votes for her.

First numbers: 51% wins and the most picked hero

We counted normal-mode matches across all ranks from her release, 21:00 UTC on October 20, to 18:20 UTC on October 22 (data from deadlock-api.com):

HeroGamesPick shareWin rate
Nurse Harrow151,6807.3%51.0%
Violet104,8555.1%50.9%
Deadman Danny100,4964.9%49.7%
Rat King97,1374.7%55.6%

Pick share is her slice of all heroes picked in that window: roughly one player in fourteen. A 51% win rate is a steady start for a brand-new hero. Our Deadlock tier list updates daily, so that's where to watch her settle.

What's next

Harrow came out after the Deadlock patch October 14, so she hasn't been touched by balance changes yet. For the wider picture, see Deadlock hero win rates after the October 14 patch. One more date to remember: the first ranked season ends on November 5 at 2pm Pacific, and the next one starts right after. Our Deadlock ranks page explains how ranked works.
